Ben Chosa Jr. was concidered one of the best Native American fish decoy carvers from Lac Du Flambea, Wisconson of his day. Ben's fish are some of the finist and most sought after of any other carver from Lac Du Flambeau. Ben only purduced a few fish each year that he would sell. Ben passed away in July of 2006 the day after winning a fishing contest in Lac Du Flambeau.
The following pictures are of unfinished decoy blanks found after Ben passed away. The Jig Stick, Ice Chipper, Spear, and Bag pictured above were also Ben's. The first blank pictured is Ben's ode to a fish decoy style carved by his grandfather.
